With the purchase of the two new aircraft, Aegean`s fleet will comprise six new AVRO RJ100 jets and three fully-refurbished ATR-72 planes from Air Greece.
Following Aegean`s buyout of Air Greece and Minoan Lines` inclusion in its shareholder profile, the carrier renovated the ATR-72 aircraft, which now feature leather seating in keeping with the fleet`s overall look.
Aegean has reported an average passenger load rate of over 60 percent for the first few months of the year, during which it has transported around 120,000 people per month, while it anticipates carrying around 1.6 million throughout 2000.
