Aviareps, based in Munich, has acquired a strategic interest in the Dutch PR & Marketing Consultancy BrouwerBetist located in Gouda. According to Aviareps, BrouwerBetist is market leader in destination marketing in the Benelux countries.

With offices in over 30 countries, including the Netherlands and Belgium, Aviareps will gain a leading position in destination marketing in the Benelux countries by acquitting this stake in BrouwerBetist. The current client portfolio of BrouwerBetist includes among others the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, Curacao, Jersey, Croatia, Lisbon, Norway, Oman, Thailand, Trentino, Flanders, Wales and South-Africa. BrouwerBetist has offices in both the Netherlands and Belgium and employs a staff of fifteen.

Michael Gaebler, CEO of Aviareps, considers it highly important that through this cooperation the company’s destination marketing division will be strongly represented in the Benelux markets. “Due to the travel behaviour of the Dutch and Belgian public, the Benelux countries figure among the most important markets of Europe, after the UK and Germany. Having said that, we not only value BrouwerBetist as a highly qualified consultancy with an attractive client portfolio, but also as an innovative company. The Dutch market in comparison to most other countries is in the forefront of searching and booking travel and holidays via the internet. BrouwerBetist continuously develops its e-marketing services accordingly and we believe this to be very advantageous on a wider scale.”

The shareholders and managers Rene Brouwer and Harry Betist remain in charge. “We have been researching options to liaise with an international network. Potential clients frequently choose to be represented on numerous markets by one international partner instead of stand alone agencies. In order to provide a serious option for these organisations, an international network is essential. By joining AVIAREPS, we are part of the world’s largest network in tourism destination marketing. This will give our clients even more added value.”
