China Airlines and Czech Airlines today (28 March) announced a new Taipei-Frankfurt-Prague passenger code-share service, to begin on March 30, 2008. These flights will open a new gateway between Taiwan and Czech, helping both airlines serve more passengers through their combined networks.
From March 30, passengers on either airline will be able to travel and make reservations using either the ‘CI’ or ‘OK’ code. Frequent-flyer members on both airlines will be able to accumulate mileage interchangeably, and enjoy in-flight service, efficient connections, and seamless ground service on both carriers.
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is a major gateway to Eastern Europe and has been entered on the UNESCO list as a cultural heritage site.
In addition to Czech Airlines, China Airlines also has code-share cooperation with Delta Airlines, Alitalia, Korean Air, Garuda Indonesia and Vietnam Airlines. CAL launched a Taipei-Prague cargo service in November 2004.
