Indian Tourism professional awarded scholarship by Austrian Government

Mr. Praveen Kumar Maan, who has been working as Manager-Tours & Travels, is the only Indian tourism professional in last two years (2003 and 2004) who has been awarded the prestigious scholarship by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Govt. of Austria for 8 months training course in Tourism Management. He is undergoing 40th training course along with 30 other scholars from 22 different countries at Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, Salzburg. The scholarship covers all Tuition Fees, Food (Monday- Friday), Medical Insurance, pocket money (Euro 200 per month), various tours and excursions in Austria. Scholars also have an option to undergo 3 months on-the-job training in local tourism organisation.



Mr. Maan who has been working with Horizons Tourism & Education Related Services for last 5 years is considered an expert in tourism product development, outbound and domestic tours and tourism marketing. He plans to share his expertise with Indian tourism organisations after completion of the course as he believes there is lot be done to improve tourism services in India to international standards.
