Money for miles cash bonanza at The M&IT Show

The newest addition to The Meetings & Incentive Travel Show`s visitor promotion campaign is £50,000 in cash incentives  to entice selected regional VIP buyer attendees.

UK-based buyers will receive up to £100 as a contribution to their travelling costs, dependent upon the distance of their base from the show venue, OIympia. This extends the principal of travel assistance used successfully in the past few years with the cash-back incentive for travellers outside of London and the two chartered first class `Buyer Flyer` trains in 2004.

The `Money for Miles` concept will make the incentives available to buyers throughout the UK, not just those on a couple of rail lines, and allows visitors complete flexibility on timings and mode of travel.

Research shows that the high cost of public transport and traffic congestion is a major objection to attending London events for those based outside the capital. The objective of the `Money for Miles` initiative is to attract more buyers from throughout the UK who would not usually consider attending. This is aimed to bring important new business contacts for show exhibitors.

Dependent upon the distance of their homes from West London, selected buyers will receive cash contributions of £25, £50, £75 or £100.

The M&IT Show`s first international hosted buyer programme in 2004 was a huge success with agency and corporate buyers attending from the major European markets. The project will be expanded in 2005 and will also include international association buyers. Visit London will again form the cornerstone of the project with 200 buyers. Other partners will also bring in buyer visitors from other foreign markets to generate new business opportunities. The hosted buyer programme will also include some UK buyers from outside of London.

The Meetings & Incentive Travel Show 2005 will be held on 5th and 6th October at Grand Hall Olympia, London. The show is now in its 13th year.
