With the high cost to the travel industry of producing and distributing printed brochures in the news right now, TTI has organised its Autumn conference to address this issue.

The conference, called Out of Print will examine the future of e-brochures as a replacement for or supplement to printed brochures. There are already several e-brochure initiatives in action. Speakers from Kuoni (Matt Rooke, E-business & Database Manager), TUI UK (Jeremy Ellis, General Manager Product Development and Creative Marketing Services) and Own Label Holidays (Ronnie Findlay, Director) will present case studies of their initiatives and give their opinions on where e-brochures are taking the industry.

IT suppliers who are leading the field in e-brochure technology will present and discuss how their systems work and the benefits to be gained. Companies taking part in an e-Brochure Solutions Suppliers panel are Digitalwebbooks, ebxp, inbro, Instant Brochures and Travelmedia. Hewlett Packard will present on how agents will cope with printing brochures on demand rather than simply pulling them off a brochure rack.

Other speaker sessions include Anite (Ed Spiers, Director) who will present the results of its e-brochure survey and TTI`s Project Manager (Andy Mayes) who will brief the audience on the extensive work TTI has been doing to create standards for the sharing of e-brochure data across the travel industry.

The conference is scheduled for Tuesday 7 October in central London. It is free to TTI members and special discounted rates are available to ABTA, AITO, CIMTIG and ETOA members.
