DREIEICH – Hahn Air introduced speed-alliance, which brings international high-speed railway connections under the 5W code to major Global Distribution Systems (GDS).
With the two-letter code 5W, speed-alliance gives over 91,000 travel agents in more than 190 markets the opportunity to book high-speed train services in the same GDS display as airline connections.
Electronic tickets for 5W can be issued on an HR-169 stock by following the standard GDS ticketing process. All HR-169 e-tickets include Securtix – Hahn Air’s comprehensive insolvency coverage.
Since the launch of speed-alliance travel agents can book railway connections of the Austrian WESTbahn and the Italian Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori (NTV). The Spanish-based Renfe is available under the 5W code.
