For anyone interested in a career at sea the organisation to contact is the MeerArbeit project, which has been operating throughout Germany and organising jobs with cruise companies since 2005. On 8 March 2013 at 6.30 p.m., on the stage in Hall 5.1, the exhibitors in the hall will be putting an item up for auction which can be bid for by anyone present. The proceeds will be donated to a charity project in Indonesia, the partner country of this year’s ITB. The party following the event will provide students with an opportunity to exchange views and establish contacts. The ITB Student Auction is organised and held by a student group of the Ostfalia Hochschule for Applied Sciences and by Robert Port, head of the event organisers TRY !T.
