Leisure Pass Group appoints KBC PR & Marketing

The account will be directed by KBC's PR Director, David Ezra and the agency will report to Leisure Pass Group's Chief Executive, Darran Evans and Director of Product Marketing, Amanda Truman.

Following a competitive pitch, travel and tourism specialist agency KBC PR & Marketing has been appointed by Leisure Pass Group to manage its global PR programme, with the key focus on the US, German, and other international markets, effective from 9 September 2013.

Leisure Pass Group is the worldwide leader in developing and marketing city sightseeing passes and sells over 1 million passes per year around the world. The company owns and operates the London Pass, Paris Pass and Berlin Pass, as well as owning the New York Pass and Philadelphia Pass which are operated by a franchisee. Passes offer visitors to the cities the opportunity to save money and time, as they offer free entry to participating sights and attractions, and the right to ‘skip the queue’ at many locations. The company also provides the Leisure Pass Operating System (LPOS) which serves as the technology behind a growing number of other city sightseeing passes around the world, including products in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Lyon.

KBC will focus on the London, Paris and Berlin passes, securing global media exposure for the brand and highlighting the benefits of the passes to leisure travellers. KBC will also work with travel trade and technology media to support new business initiatives for LPOS.

The account will be directed by KBC’s PR Director, David Ezra and the agency will report to Leisure Pass Group’s Chief Executive, Darran Evans and Director of Product Marketing, Amanda Truman.

Said Evans, “We are happy to join forces with KBC as we embark on another exciting stage of our development. The team at KBC exhibited a high degree of understanding and insight during the pitch with some excellent ideas for consolidating our market leading position and for expanding into other areas. We look forward to working with them.”

KBC PR & Marketing celebrates its 15th birthday this year and is experienced in managing multi-market global PR accounts having done so for many years for clients including Florida Keys & Key West and Discover New England. KBC also represents the Azores Islands, Capital Region USA, Virginia Tourism Corporation, Rocky Mountain International, Visit Calvia, and the luxury hotel group, Loews Hotels.
