Momondo launches “Travellenge” for students specialising in travel marketing

In an industry first, case competition set to inspire students to work in the digital travel industry.

Global travel brand momondo.co.uk this month launches Travellenge, an international student case competition that aims to bring young talents from all over the world together, to create new ideas for the rapidly growing digital travel industry.

A certified Master Class, 5,000 euros and a unique chance to network with marketing professionals is all up for grabs for the successful teams.

Travellenge: Challenge the global digital travel business
Students from all over the world are now invited to join forces and work with a real life case for global brand momondo, which is launching the first case competition within the online travel industry, momondo Travellenge. The target group of this competition is marketing and business students who want to prove their creative skills in an international arena, for one of the leading travel brands in the world.

Chance to compete with students from around the world
Participating students will have to propose ideas on how to grow the momondo brand in their markets. In teams of two, the students are to come up with an innovative marketing strategy and push the momondo brand to new heights. When entering Travellenge, the entrants will compete with fellow students from 16 countries – ranging from Finland in the north, to Spain in the south. The National Winners for each country will go through to the International Final held at momondo’s headquarters in Copenhagen. Here the students will get to share insights and ideas, along with the chance to network with the other National Winners from all of the competing countries.

Master Class and 5.000 EUR for the winners
There are prizes along the way too. The International Winning team will take home the grand prize of 5,000 euros, while all National Winners win a two-night stay in Copenhagen, with travel expenses paid for (hotel and flights). Furthermore, all National Winners are invited to participate in the exclusive and certified “e-travel Master Class”, held by the best professionals in their field.
