Mosul – fifth destination for Royal Jordanian in Iraq

The service between Mosul and Amman will also serve Iraqi passengers transiting though Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), connecting them, through RJ flights, with any worldwide destination served by the airline.

AMMAN – Royal Jordanian announced the launch of its regular operations between Amman and Mosul, in northern Iraq, starting November 12, 2013. This addition will increase the number of RJ destinations in Iraq to five: Baghdad, Basra, Sulaymaniyah, Erbil and Mosul.

Initially, RJ will operate two weekly flights to Mosul, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, raising the number of flights between Jordan and Iraq to 28 weekly, including nine weekly flights to each of Baghdad and Erbil and four weekly flights to each of Basra and Sulaymaniyah.

Through this new route addition, RJ aims to boost its presence in the Iraqi market, help the growing air transport between the two countries, in general, and serve, in particular, businessmen, students and Jordanian and Iraqi citizens wishing to fly to Mosul, the second largest city in Iraq in terms of population.

The service between Mosul and Amman will also serve Iraqi passengers transiting though Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), connecting them, through RJ flights, with any worldwide destination served by the airline.

The flights from QAIA to Mosul depart at 6:15 and reach Mosul at 8:05. The return flight departs Mosul at 8:50 and reaches Amman at 10:45am, a flight duration of one hour and 50 minutes.
