Research revealed that in the 4* holiday category, Spain reigns with three destinations in the top five list. Leading the way is old favourite the Costa Brava, followed by the Algarve. Malaga and Alicante are placed third and fourth respectively, whilst Halkidiki in Greece makes up the top five.
Research conducted by On the Beach, UK’s beach holiday specialist predicts Morocco’s premier holiday resort Agadir, as the best value luxury holiday destination for 2015.
The online travel agent looked at average holiday costs during 2014 to predict the best value destinations for 2015, with Agadir just pipping Malta to the post in the 5*category.
The ever popular Portuguese coastal region of the Algarve is the third best value 5* destination, followed by Hammamet in Tunisia. Pretty Paphos in Cyprus completes the top five.

Best value all-inclusive
For those looking for a great value all-inclusive holiday, Malta is the best value destination, offering the lowest priced all-inclusive holidays in Europe, followed by the Costa Brava region in Spain.
The sun kissed Greek island of Crete also offers great value all-inclusive holidays, coming third in the list, followed by Hammamet in Turkey and the Portuguese Algarve coast.

Upgrade to save
The report also reveals that in some cases, upgrading your hotel to a higher class can often save money.
It pays to upgrade in Malta which shows the greatest savings, with holidaymakers saving up to 45% by choosing a 4*hotel instead of a 3*.
The Balearic island of Menorca offers savings of up to 24% for holidaymakers choosing a 3* hotel instead of a more basic 2* property.
