Cofton was also shortlisted in more categories than any other business in the UK at the i Newspaper Staycation Awards 2019, achieved a Gold Standard at the 2019 UK Pool and Spa Awards in the Holiday Park Pool of the Year category, and achieved VisitEngland 5-star status for its Holiday Park in 2019.
Having successfully fought off fierce competition from some of the country’s top holiday parks, Devon's multi award-winning Cofton Holidays has been named Best Holiday Park at the 2019 Campsites.co.uk Camping and Glamping Awards.
Now in its third year, the Campsites.co.uk Camping and Glamping Awards celebrates the cream of the crop across ten categories. Winners were selected from across the country coming from as far North as Outer Hebrides in Scotland, right down to Carbis Bay in Cornwall.
The news comes after Cofton’s family-run business, which is located near Dawlish, celebrated success at the prestigious Devon Tourism Awards, having walked away with four silvers and one bronze. Cofton scooped these accolades in the Holiday Park of the Year; Self Catering Accommodation of the Year; Dog Friendly Business of the Year; Cafe and Tea Room of the Year, and Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism of the Year categories.

Helen Scott, Director at Cofton Holidays, is thrilled with Cofton’s success, saying: “Starting 2020 off with this prestigious accolade is a very positive sign for things to come, building further on the success of last year. It’s flattering to be recognised and rewarded in the Best Holiday Park category, particularly as we were up against some excellent holiday parks from across the UK.”
Helen added: “The Cofton team work tirelessly throughout the year to deliver an unforgettable experience to all of our guests, and being recognised independently for that is testament to our fantastic staff.”
Martin Smith, Founder of Campsites.co.uk, commented: “Every one of our winners has brought their best to the table this year and they deserve every success that comes their way.”
