Spring, summer, travels: Domodedovo Airport renews schedule

The number of regular flights, operated daily from Domodedovo during spring-summer period-2013, will increase comparing to last year on 40 flights per week.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport switches to spring-summer flight schedule-2013.To the start of tourist season the airport and its airlines-partners will launch new interesting routes and increase frequency of popular flights. Transaero Airlines will offer tourists departing from Domodedovo Airport to Japan a brand new standard of passenger service – Imperial class. For the first time such service level will be available for passengers of Moscow air hub on flights to the Land of the Rising Sun. From the 25 of May airliner Boeing 777-200 will fly from Domodedovo to Tokyo (Narita Airport) twice a week.

Spring and summer, 2013 – is a time of new prices and opportunities for air travelers, who choose Domodedovo Airport. In the middle of March low-cost airline easyJet – British airline which is in the top three European leaders in terms of passenger traffic – became the partner of the airport. Tickets on easyJet flights from Domodedovo to London are available on the site of the airline for less than $100.

From 1 April Blue Panorama Airlines – one of the largest airlines of Italy – has launched flights from Domodedovo. The airline’s low-cost brand – Blu-express.com – has launched two daily flights from Domodedovo to Rome and offers tickets for 120 Euro.

Flight frequency from Domodedovo Airport both to London and Rome after low-cost airlines arrival has increased twice – up to four flights per day.

Both airlines have launched not only regular flights on popular routes but also exclusive routes from Domodedovo, unique for the whole Moscow air hub: easyJet – to Manchester and Blue Panorama Airlines – to Palermo.

The number of regular flights, operated daily from Domodedovo during spring-summer period-2013, will increase comparing to last year on 40 flights per week. Only some of new flights are listed below:

  • Nice (3 flights per week, Rossiya Airlines);
  • Bergamo (3 flights per week, Air Dolomiti);
  • Bremen (Germania);
  • Athens and Zadar (S7);
  • Nha Trang (capital of Khanh Hoa Province and one of the most popular Vietnam resorts,  Vietnam Airlines);
  • Pula and Podgorica (Ural Airlines).

Frequency of popular flights will increase. For example, daily NIKI flights to Vienna will be operated twice a day and with new flights of Vueling Airlines the flights frequency from Domodedovo to Alicante will increase up to 10 per week.
 
Convenient regular schedule will be completed with a wide and diverse charter program.

The quality of route network in combination with high transfer potential of Domodedovo Airport – is a guarantee of the airport’s popularity. 83 (more than one third) out 242 destinations of Domodedovo Airport are unique for Moscow air hub. In 2012 tourist traffic totaled 7,5 million people, Domodedovo forecasts further tourist traffic increase in 2013. The airport is popular among Russian air travelers and well-known abroad: on March, 2013 Domodedovo Airport received for the 6th time “Zvezda Travel.ru” award, revealing Russian customer preferences. In the Skytrax rating of all airports in the category Best Airports “by size of Airport” handling 20 to 30 million a passenger annually, Domodedovo Airport is in the top five.
