The Boston Globe announces dates for 2014 Boston Globe Travel Show

The Boston Globe Travel Show regularly draws more than 20,000 attendees looking to book travel to both exotic and domestic destinations.

BOSTON – The 2014 Boston Globe Travel Show, one of the largest consumer travel shows in the country, has set an official date: the 9th annual event will take place February 7-9, 2014 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston.

The Boston Globe Travel Show regularly draws more than 20,000 attendees looking to book travel to both exotic and domestic destinations. In 2014, the three-day event will feature more than 250 travel exhibitors and suppliers, representing every segment of the travel industry and offering detailed information on trips to every region of the world. Attendees will learn about new and exciting travel opportunities ranging from budget vacations to luxury escapes, vacation rentals and much more, and those interested in booking a vacation will find great deals on-site.

For the ninth consecutive year, Aruba Tourism Association has signed on to sponsor the show. “The Boston Globe Travel Show is the most comprehensive travel show in Boston.  Every year, we bring together more than nine hotel and active partners to showcase the best Aruba has to offer,” said Katy Kennedy of the Aruba Tourism Authority. “It’s a perfect venue for those who are trying to reach individual travelers and those planning a destination wedding or honeymoon.  We look forward to being a part of the show every year.”

More than just a trade show, The Boston Globe Travel Show is a weekend destination. The 2014 Boston Globe Travel Show will feature a variety of pavilions showcasing travel destinations from around the world, cruise specials, adventure travel, vacation rentals, vacation planning and packages, and much more. The show also will include cultural seminars, music and dance presentations and culinary presentations. Esteemed travel writer Arthur Frommer will return in 2014, and the show will also feature Patricia Schultz, international best-selling author of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die.

The show will once again feature a craft beer pavilion, showcasing craft breweries from all around New England, as well as the rest of the United States. Tickets for the Craft Beer Pavilion will be sold separately.

In addition to the Aruba Tourism Authority, The Boston Globe Travel Show will be sponsored by Seaworld Parks and Entertainment, Collette Vacations, the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, the New Hampshire Grand Resorts, Ocean Properties Omni Mount Washington Resort, and the Bethel Inn.

The 2014 Boston Globe Travel Show will be open to the public from 5:30-8 p.m. on Friday, February 7; from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 8; and from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 9.
