Searcy’s at The Gherkin, which occupies the top three floors of one of London’s most iconic towers, has strengthened its team with the appointments of Emily Kendall as Events Manager, Erin McGowan as a Sales Executive and Kate Baxter as Private Dining Events Manager.
Emily Kendall joins the team from Party Ingredients, the private caterers, where she held the role of Wedding and Events Sales Manager. Prior to this role, Emily worked as an Events Assistant, also for Party Ingredients, and has a wealth of operational experience when it comes to event planning.
Erin McGowan joins the Searcy’s at The Gherkin team from Drapers Hall where she supported the Head of Events and Catering and gained crucial experience in sales, account management and marketing. Erin graduated from the University of Surrey in 2013 obtaining a First-Class Honours Degree in International Hospitality Management.
Newly appointed Private Dining Events Manager, Kate Baxter, joins fresh from the WSH management graduate scheme where she experienced many different job roles within a structured, flexible training programme. Kate graduated from Oxford Brookes University in June 2016 with a 2:1 Degree BSc (Hons) in International Hospitality Management. Whilst studying for her degree, Kate held various positions within the industry including work experience at ITA Venues where she gained insights into the commercial events industry.
“2017 will be another exciting year for Searcy’s at The Gherkin. We’re focussing on what we do best, which is to give great hospitality to our clients whilst looking to deliver high quality, creative catering. To help us with our plans, we are delighted to have three newcomers on board, all of whom are enthusiastic and excited for the challenge ahead,” comments Charley Taylor-Smith, Searcy’s at The Gherkin’s Sales and Marketing Manager.

Vicky is the co-founder of TravelDailyNews Media Network where she is the Editor-in Chief. She is also responsible for the daily operation and the financial policy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
