To Podgorica from Domodedovo – Moskovia launches new flight

On 1 June 2013 Moskovia Airlines, long-term partner of Domodedovo Airport, is resuming direct flights to the largest city of Montenegro – Podgorica. The flights will be operated on Saturdays.

Also due to growing popularity of flights to Montenegro in the height of summer travel season – starting from 2 June 2013 Moskovia is increasing its flights frequency on popular route Moscow-Tivat. New morning flight Moscow-Tivat-Moscow will be launched in addition to existing day flight 353/354. The flight will be operated six times a week – daily except Saturday.

Economy and business classes are available on operated flights.

In 2007 Moskovia, based at Domodedovo, first among Russian airlines launched regular services between Russia and Montenegro. Today Domodedovo Airport is leading on this destination – in 2012 passenger traffic to Montenegro totaled 328 thousand people, which was 85% of the whole Moscow air hub passenger traffic.

The history and present of Montenegro are closely intertwined in Podgorica. While Turkish fortresses and other ancient buildings of the Ottoman Empire are preserved in Old Town, a modern design of Millennium Bridge, raised over rapid Moraca river, symbolizes the country’ entry into new millennium.

The functional Monastery of Ostrog is situated nearby Podgorica; its snow-white construction is built in the unscalable cliff on the height of 800 meters above sea level. The sight, famous far beyond the country, draws pilgrims of different religions from all over the world.

A Country of Black Mountains or Montenegro, as it’s named in Europe, inspires travelers by its beauty, hospitality and virgin nature. Here tourists can visit four magnificent national parks: Durmitor, Lake Skadar, Lovcen and Biogradska Gora. Each of them is unique but all are perfect for relaxation after intensive city life.

Moskovia is Russian airline, founded in 1995 on the base of M. M. Gromov Flight Research Institute. It operates regular, charter, passenger and cargo services in Russia, Europe, Asia and Africa. In 2004 the airline won Wings of Russia Award. In 2009 Moskovia was awarded as a “Company of the Year” by Rodionov Publishing House in the nomination “For dynamic development during world crisis”.
