TripCase makes sharing the traveler's journey easier

New following feature allows travelers to share travel details while followers get live updates throughout the trip.

SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS – TripCase, Sabre‘s travel app where millions of travelers manage their trips, is now making it easier for travelers to connect with family, friends and colleagues. With the new TripCase Following feature, travelers can choose to share their trip with other TripCase users, giving them the same trip details, messages and live updates that the traveler sees.

When TripCase travelers choose to share a trip with a contact, they can select just one trip or “always share.” The chosen Follower then receives an email with the details and a link to view in their TripCase account. Within TripCase, users can keep Active, Past, and Following trips organized on different tabs within the Trips screen and through a new interface and enhanced Timeline View. Last year, travelers added and accessed 11 million trips through TripCase.

“Now TripCase Followers have access to the same trip details and messages that millions of TripCase travelers use,” said Troy Whitsett, vice president of design and innovation for TripCase, a Sabre brand. “This new sharing capability comes from thousands of hours of research, and usability testing, design and development.”

TripCase actively monitors any factors that could change or impact a traveler’s trip including weather, flight delays and gate changes and automatically notifies the traveler. It is the only travel management app that offers these important flight alerts at no charge. Because TripCase has been integrated with the Sabre GDS, millions of travelers automatically access their trip information in TripCase and receive real-time updates and changes on flight information.
