Two new resorts added in Croatia for summer 2014

Already a specialist operator to Croatia, the addition of Opatija and Lovran will further expand Balkan Holidays offering to the Eastern European country for Summer 2014.

Balkan Holidays has added two new resorts – the elegant ‘Grande Dame’ town of Opatija and the nearby attractive holiday spot of Lovran, both on the Kvarner Riviera on the Northern Adriatic coast, Croatia, for Summer 2014

Already a specialist operator to Croatia, the addition of Opatija and Lovran will further expand Balkan Holidays offering to the Eastern European country for Summer 2014.

Famous as a holiday destination for the Hapsburg nobility 160 years ago, thanks to its spas, sea views and grand hotels, Opatija retains much of its charm and style with a selection of five star hotels available as well as accommodation for holidaymakers on a more modest budget. Balkan Holidays will be offering 16 hotels ranging from two to five star.

Just seven kilometres from Opatija, Lovran boasts beautiful Baroque houses, a delightful square and a Romanesque church and is regarded as one of the most attractive towns on the Riviera. Balkan Holidays will be offering a three star and two four star hotels in Lovran.

Flights will be to Pula from Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Gatwick, Manchester and Newcastle, between April and October 2014.

“With an increased number of flights now serving the Kvarner Riviera, from various UK airports, Balkan Holidays saw this as a great opportunity to offer these wonderful Croatian resorts to British holidaymakers,” said Rupert Diggins, Sales and Marketing Manager Balkan Holidays.

Balkan Holidays has been operating holidays to Eastern Europe for 49 years and also features Bulgaria, Slovenia and Montenegro.
