Galileo<.> International announced an exclusive Gift Card offer from MasterCard<.> International through the Galileo Business Builders program.

Effective immediately, travelers using their MasterCard card to book RCI Holiday Network vacation rentals through Galileo-connected agencies will receive a $50 MasterCard Gift Card for booking one-week stays valued under $500. Travelers will receive a $100 MasterCard Gift Card for bookings valued over $500. The gift card is valid for six months and can be used to purchase goods and services anywhere MasterCard is accepted — more than 28 million locations worldwide. The exclusive offer is scheduled to run through the end of 2002, or while supplies last.

Our alliance with Galileo Business Builders will enable MasterCard to tap a unique network of travel agencies so that we may efficiently and effectively reach consumers in search of some of the best travel deals available, said Fred P. Gore, senior vice president of North America Acceptance at MasterCard International. We will leverage a leading provider of electronic global distribution services, bringing rewarding new benefits, such as the current MasterCard Gift Card promotion, to MasterCard cardholders.

Galileo Business Builders is all about helping our agency partners win and succeed by giving them a unique competitive advantage, said Mitch Gross, Galileo executive vice president and general manager – The Americas.

This is a tangible example of how we will continue to leverage relationships within the Cendant family of brands, as well as bring in other partners, such as MasterCard, to add value to our travel agency partners and their customers.

RCI Holiday Network’s worldwide inventory of more than 80,000 condominiums, vacation homes, villas and cottages — including vacation rentals at 3,700 resorts in more than 100 countries — is available to Galileo-connected agencies as part of Galileo Business Builders, a new strategic program designed to boost agency profits through new revenue streams, cost saving opportunities and loyalty tools. In addition to this bonus for travelers paying with a MasterCard card, Galileo-connected travel agencies will receive a 20 percent commission on all completed RCI Holiday Network bookings through December 31, 2002.
