Hospitality Marketing Exchange Workshop to help hoteliers maximize online revenue

Google Travel executive to keynote hands-on learning experience provided by Digital Alchemy and GCommerce to help hotels increase digital presence.

On Wednesday, September 12th, 2012, the brightest digital marketing minds from Google Travel, Digital Alchemy and GCommerce will present hoteliers with concrete steps to impact their “Digital Blueprint” at the Hospitality Marketing Exchange conference. The interactive one-day event will be held at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve in Hanover, Maryland, with a central theme of maximizing online revenue through an exchange of best practices.

The Hospitality Marketing Exchange seminar was created to fill an education void hoteliers experience when it comes to marketing their property through internet-based tools, such as email marketing and social media. Trends show that in 2011, 49.1% of hotels shifted money from offline marketing budgets to online marketing. With more money being spent online, it is important for hoteliers to understand what activities provide the best return and how to implement them.

Those who attend Hospitality Marketing Exchange will learn how to effectively lay their property’s online presence foundation, how to manage their online presence in order to maximize website visitors, covert website visitors to guests, and retain those guests as loyal customers. Topics covered in training will include current trends in the travel industry, SEO/SEM best practices, website do’s and don’ts, display advertising and remarketing, eCRM, email marketing, and social media marketing.

The event features keynote speaker Marco Reginelli of Google Travel. As the face of Google Travel and part of HSMAI’s Digital Council, Reginelli helps hotels leverage the power of new online channels for acquiring and retaining customers by identifying strategic shifts in online user behavior.

“As hotel marketing becomes less traditional and increasingly catered toward an online generation, there is no better time to teach hoteliers how to stay up with the latest digital marketing methods,” stated Don Hay, Digital Alchemy CEO. “There is a simple way to maximize online revenue if you’re willing to learn a few new tricks. This conference will provide hoteliers the opportunity to get hands-on with the exchange of ideas between industry leaders and peers, while leaving armed with knowledge that will benefit their bottom line.”
