Seabourn website wins HSMAI`S platinum award

At its 15th Annual Adrian Awards ceremony in New York on Monday, January 24th, the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International named Seabourn Cruise Line

At its 15th Annual Adrian Awards ceremony in New York on Monday, January 24th, the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International named Seabourn Cruise Line  as the Platinum Winner of its prestigious 2004 Adrian Award for Cruise Web Marketing.

Seabourn joined an elite group of Platinum Winners recognized for Advertising, Public Relations and Web Marketing programs in every segment of the hospitality industry around the world in 2004. Seabourn`s award was presented for its `Virtual Theater` micro-site located within its website at www.seabourn.com.

“We are very gratified to receive this recognition for our internet marketing innovation,” said Seabourn president Deborah L. Natansohn. “Quicksilver Associates, working with our own web specialist Robert Aguirre, created a brand new way for visitors to interact with and experience our product on the web,” she continued.

Seabourn`s website has been recognized for excellence and innovation since its launch. In 2001 the site was selected as one of the “Best of the Web” honorees by Forbes.com. Last year, the site won the Seventh Annual Web Marketing Association “WebAwards” competition as the Best Travel Site for 2004. In addition, the judges named Seabourn`s innovative Virtual Theater the 2004 Best Leisure Site.

The Virtual Theater is a section of the cruise line`s website housing various interactive segments from a 360° photography virtual tour of the ship to streaming videos depicting the company`s onboard product, an excursion `Shopping with the Chef,` an aerial fly-over film and a documentary entitled `Seabourn Stories` featuring actual Seabourn guests relating why they prefer the line over any other.
