VIENNA, AUSTRIA – TourRadar, the leading online marketplace for group tours, has named the winner of the Most Amazing Tour Award for 2013. After a tightly fought competition with 200+ tour operators participating, the Overall Winner for 2013 was revealed as Beach Travellers and their ‘The Land of Smiles – Thailand 24 day’ tour.

With over a thousand reviews submitted the competition proved a success, with 6 awards given in total.
Beach Travellers earned their first ever Most Amazing Tour award, while Free & Easy Traveller, Bus2Alps and OzIntro won awards for the second consecutive year. Growth International Volunteer Excursions had a fantastic double-whammy by winning in both the ‘Africa’ and ‘North America’ continent categories.
Collectively these Most Amazing Tours of 2013 encompass the best of the best in terms of travel experiences. From sunning yourself on the famous beaches of Sydney, to eating delicious Italian pizza on the Amalfi coast, to teaching English to young students in Tanzania, or riding an Elephant & partying till dawn in Thailand to releasing endangered sea turtles in Nicaragua these tours appeal to the traveller in all of us.

In 2014 the annual Most Amazing Tour Awards will return for the third year running. Further details will be released shortly, but for now all we can say is – in 2014 it’s going to be a marathon, not a sprint to win.
