Thomas Stirnimann, former COO of Chain4Travel AG, joins the Camino Network Foundation as President of the Council. Stirnimann brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role, ensuring that the Foundation operates at the forefront of innovation and in the interest of all network participants.

Joining Stirnimann on the Governing Body are esteemed members, Stefan Leser and Piotr Wojtowicz. With their vast knowledge in travel, legal, and strategic insights, Leser and Wojtowicz will contribute invaluable expertise to the Foundation’s mission of building democratic and transparent relations within the network. The Governing Board members will collectively steer the Foundation’s efforts toward fostering trust and collaboration among all participants in the travel ecosystem.

To facilitate this decentralized approach, Chain4Travel AG has transferred all rights, as well as financial reserves from the Camino initiative to the newly established Camino Network Foundation. This move empowers the Foundation to fully leverage its resources, to engage in grant management, and ensure a secure infrastructure aligned with its mission.

“We are delighted to reach this milestone,” said Thomas Stirnimann, President of the Camino Network Foundation. “The Foundation allows us to manage a decentralized and democratic setup of this dedicated blockchain for the travel industry, paving the way for a new era of transparency and collaboration within the global travel industry.”

The Camino Network Foundation actively engages with developers and travel companies, encouraging them to participate in the Web3 travel ecosystem, such as the innovative “Take off” grant program. By fostering collaborative practices and facilitating the smooth transition of existing travel businesses into the Web3 travel ecosystem, the Foundation is committed to boosting efficiency and sustainability across the entire travel industry. With its global reach, the Camino Network Foundation invites individuals and organizations alike to contribute to the growth and security of the Camino Network.

Camino Network Foundation has assigned Chain4Travel AG to further develop the Camino Blockchain. Moreover, Chain4Travel AG also offers consulting services and technical support for all companies and participants involved.
