Jacquie Rogers, General Manager of BT Convention Centre, part of ACC Liverpool, has been voted onto the board of International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC). Jacquie’s new position gives ACC Liverpool a representative voice for the UK’s industry views at an international level. The appointment comes just twelve months in advance of ACC Liverpool hosting the AIPC 2010 conference.
AIPC, the industry association for professional convention and exhibition centre manager’s world wide, is committed to encouraging excellence in convention centre management. The association provides the tools to achieve high standards through its research, educational and networking programmes, with representatives from over 53 countries. As a key political voice, the AIPC engages with other organisations to represent the meetings industry at a government level.
Jacquie commented, "I am delighted to have been voted onto the board and look forward to hosting the 2010 conference in Liverpool. I am really proud of my team’s efforts in our first year of business and know that together we can continue raising the bar for standards within convention centre management."
