The American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) has partnered with the Canadian Institute of Travel Counselors (CITC) to allow members of both organizations excellent educational opportunities.

We are extremely excited to forge this partnership with CITC, said ASTA President and CEO Kathryn W. Sudeikis, CTC. It will provide travel agents in both of our countries access to many more educational opportunities than they have had in the past, giving them the ability to become more informed and better able to serve their clients.

ASTA members will now have access to CITC`s tele-seminar program, which allows busy individuals who lack the time to attend in-person seminars to receive training and review of essential business skills. It provides a convenient way for agents to continue their professional development.

In return, CITC members will be able to access ASTA`s home study destination specialist programs, including Cuba Travel Specialist, the USA Travel Expert Program, Family Travel Specialist and Travel Marketing Specialist.

The home study destination specialist programs give agents the chance to enjoy all the benefits of self-paced learning with either a printed course manual or with the speed and convenience of the Internet. Members receive a discount on the online course. Agents can also take a demo lesson to get a feel for how the online education program works.
