The Canadian Alliance of Business Travel`s third Connecting Canada Educational Exchange Day, held in Calgary

The Canadian Alliance of Business Travel`s third Connecting Canada Educational Exchange Day, held in Calgary earlier this month, is being called a success by attendees. Delegates from companies in Canada and the U.S. experienced the type of leading educational, interactive and networking event for which the Canadian Alliance is becoming known.

Andy Menkes, CEO of Partnership Travel Consulting opened the day with Auditing Your T&E Program, followed by an Online Booking Tool panel he moderated with representatives from Outtask, Travelocity for Business and Talaris Corporation. Menkes and his panel received rave reviews from the delegates. Jeffrey Hansler, President of Oxford Company, delivered a professional development session on Powerful Presentation Skills, engaging the audience in an upbeat exchange.

It was another successful day for us all. The corporate travel professionals from Canada and the U.S. who participated were truly impressed with our buyer-driven exchange format. Our presenters couldn`t have asked for a more energetic and enthusiastic crowd to engage in dialogue, said Tanya Racz, President of the Canadian Alliance.

As with other Canadian Alliance educational events, participants in the Educational Exchange Day in Calgary were able to earn elective credit toward the industry`s only certification program, the National Business Travel Association`s Certified Corporate Travel Executive (CCTE). CCTE is the certification for business travel management professionals who want to enhance their knowledge, skills and productivity.

Participants in the event in have provided resoundingly positive feedback on the event:

Thank you for the open exchange of information. The best Educational Exchange I have attended. Covered topics from a Canadian Perspective from A-Z about the business of business travel, commented Shelley Sapieha, Corporate Travel Manager, FortisAlberta.

Irene Liew with Pristine Power felt the exchange was Excellent – one of the best educational events I have attended in the last 12 months!

Cameron McPhail, Vice President & Director Commercial Card, Scotiabank felt all of the presenters were very knowledgeable, and he would definitely recommend Canadian Alliance Educational Exchange days to his colleagues.

Racz added, When we continue to consistently deliver successful Educational Exchange days like this, everyone benefits — our delegates, our presenters and, of course, our valued partner sponsors.
