GBTA Europe announces location & date for Inaugural Oil, Gas & Marine Travel Forum

The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), the premier business travel organisation in Europe, today announced the inaugural Oil, Gas & Marine Travel Forum 2011: a new event focusing on issues affecting buyers and suppliers in this part of the business travel sector.

The Oil, Gas & Marine Travel Forum 2011 will be held October 19th – 20th at the Thistle Altens Hotel in Aberdeen, with over a hundred delegates coming together from centres around Europe, Asia, the USA and Africa to the central oil, gas and marine hub in Scotland.

Paul Tilstone, Managing Director of GBTA Europe, said, “Supporting this sector is exactly what GBTA Europe was formed to do.”

“It’s quite clear there are buyers with a considerable market expenditure across this sector who will value a forum created especially for them. There is also a supplier network unique to this market which will value the buyer interaction in an independent environment. This is one of those interest groups where it’s not just the type of company they work in which is similar, they face every day issues together which are unique to their business types.”

GBTA will establish an interest group, consisting of buyers and suppliers from the sector, after the forum to develop solutions, reports, research and industry affairs activity.
