More air seats for Turks and Caicos Islands

Turks and Caicos Islands one of the fastest growing destinations in the Caribbean…

Turks and Caicos Islands one of the fastest growing destinations in the Caribbean this tourism period will enjoy an additional 1000 air seats per week, an increase of 25%.

President of the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA) Gary Greenwood has described the increase in air service and air seats as unprecedented and great news for our tourism industry and our visitors.

TCHTA Member and Manager of the newly opened Le Vele Resort on Grace Bay, Beverly Williams has joined many established and new elegant resorts in welcoming the news, she explains the additional scheduled service is an important signifier for our destination, particularly in view of the availability of additional hotel rooms for the upcoming season. We have seen increases in air seat numbers from 50% to over 200% from American Airlines, US Airways, Delta Airlines and British Airways. Demand has increased from the US, Canada and Europe and airlines are wisely capitalizing on that demand.

The Turks and Caicos Islands now offers non-stop scheduled service from Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, New York, Philadelphia as well as from Toronto, London, Jamaica and Nassau with American Airlines, Delta Airlines, US Airways, Air Canada, British Airways, Air Jamaica and BahamasAir. After some sensitive development and fine renovations over the Summer, the destination offers an even more impressive and luxurious range of elegant hotels, condominium resorts, all-inclusive properties and private hideaways for visitors this Fall and Winter season.

Association Director Caesar Campbell comments With so many different routes and airlines available, customers can enjoy more choice and better value for money when they choose to vacation in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The recently introduced daily air service from Atlanta with Delta Airlines and from Fort Lauderdale with US Airways alongside the additional flight from British Airways from London has boosted air seat numbers to a record high
