Students aim high with new Sharaf Aviation Services Academy

Travel industry training provider offers IATA-registered courses delivered by industry experts.

DUBAI – Would be travel agents are being offered the chance to get their careers off to a flying start with the launch of Sharaf Travels’ IATA-registered training centre.

Launched this month, Sharaf Aviation Services Academy offers IATA International Travel & Tourism Training Programs, delivering comprehensive and industry-relevant courses covering all aspects of the aviation and travel business.

The Academy’s extensive range of training programs offers students the chance to develop their professional skills in areas such as reservations, ticketing and operational aspects of the travel industry, through an interactive learning experience.

We are the only training academy in the UAE/Middle East offering foundation and advanced courses in travel, cargo and aviation, and the only academy offering training across all global distribution systems (GDS). All our courses are delivered by IATA-qualified trainers with industry experience, which is vital to providing our students with a relevant insight to the industry,” said Rajagopalan, Training Manager.

The programs are delivered at Sharaf Aviation Services Academy’s dedicated training centre in Karama Dubai, which offers a modern teaching environment for up to 160 students spread over four classrooms. Courses are available throughout the year.

Each course takes, on average, 40 to 50 hours to complete, with the exception of the IATA Foundation & Consultant Course, which takes 100 hours.

Sharaf Travel is also using the Sharaf Aviation Services Academy as a way to spot future stars of the travel industry. Students who perform well during their courses will be nominated for internships at Sharaf Travel.

“The travel industry is the most exciting industry to work in. We want to capture young, vibrant talent, with a hunger to see and experience the world in a totally new way. Our internship programme is the perfect vehicle for developing this talent and we look forward to welcoming the stars of tomorrow to our team,” Rajagopalan added.
