The US Airways flight operations system database, hosted by Electronic Data Systems (EDS), experienced a malfunction yesterday morning for approximately 3.5 hours. As a result, US Airways implemented a ground stop on Sunday morning in order to manually process flights and restore the automated system.

Approximately 100 flights were delayed. As of 9:45 a.m., Eastern time, the flight operations system was functioning normally. Passengers should plan to get to the airport in plenty of time to clear security, assuming their flight will depart as scheduled. US Airways is working to get all flights back to their scheduled departure times as quickly as possible.
