ALHI expands globally with the addition of Bermuda

Bermuda Tourism Authority becomes newest “ALHI Global Luxury Alliance” member.

WASHINGTON, DC – Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has expanded its global destinations for meetings and incentive (M&I) programs with the addition of the Bermuda Tourism Authority – on behalf of the picturesque destination of Bermuda and its several meetings and incentive-designed resorts – as the newest “ALHI Global Luxury Alliance” Member. This beautiful resort island expands the number of countries and exceptional M&I resorts that the ALHI Global Sales Organization (GSO) now provides Accounts with sales expertise, connectivity, and support. Globally, ALHI now has Members that can help planners with their M&I programs in 77 countries and destinations worldwide, in addition to its extraordinary portfolio of hotels and resorts throughout the U.S.A. Collectively, the ALHI portfolio serves Accounts with more than 160 Four- and Five-Diamond quality hotels and resorts; over 115,000 rooms and 10 million square feet of meeting space; 9 luxury cruise ships appropriate for the M&I market; qualified DMC (Destination Management Company) operations for program support in over 100 destinations, including 65 global markets; and DMO (Destination Management Organization) with the Bermuda Tourism Authority. The announcement was made by ALHI CEO David Gabri.

With the addition of Bermuda, ALHI provides incremental off-shore M&I options to better serve the specific needs of meeting professionals, incentive specialists, association executives, convention planners, and business executives managing meetings and programs. ALHI Global Luxury Alliance Memberships, launched in October 2014, add new strategic resources outside of the U.S.A. for the ALHI GSO team to share with Accounts throughout North America, augmenting the extensive and popular luxury-level hotel and resort portfolio ALHI has been serving in the U.S.A. for nearly 30 years.

ALHI, with its 20 “Local” Global Sales office locations across North America, and the ALHI GSO team of 60 sales professionals in the U.S.A. and Canada, will provide planners expertise and access for meetings, incentive travel programs, and conventions on the nearby island. This incorporates the primary M&I-equipped resorts located across the island including Grotto Bay Beach Resort, Rosewood Tucker’s Point, Fairmont Hamilton Princess, Elbow Beach Resort, Fairmont Southampton, and Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa, among others, which ALHI and the Bermuda Tourism Authority will showcase to the North American M&I marketplace.

The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) promotes the island destination of Bermuda, and has joined forces with ALHI to further develop meetings, incentive/recognition programs, and travel to the island. Their new Membership with ALHI now authorizes the trusted ALHI GSO team to interact with their clientele about Bermuda to promote and sell the specific meetings and incentive resorts to the North American M.I.C.E. marketplace. Known for its warm hospitality, pristine pink-sand beaches, crystal turquoise waters, incredible water activities, world-class golf, beautiful resorts, and 200-mile reef system that surrounds the island, Bermuda is truly a unique tropical paradise. Located just 650 miles east of North Carolina in the Atlantic Ocean, Bermuda has many convenient non-stop connections from major U.S. East Coast airports, and is also noteworthy for its clean and safe environment, delicious cuisine, and friendly people.

Grotto Bay Beach Resort sits on a lush tropical 21-acre estate featuring dramatic underground caves and acres of woodland preserves along the scenic water’s edge in Bailey’s Bay.
