Zleep Hotels is moving into the Danish pension fund PFA’s new development with 100 rooms that will offer the business environment and tourists a three-star hotel. For Zleep Hotels, the location in Hillerod further strengthens its position in Denmark.

Good quality and great rates
The hotel will become part of a 10,200 sqm large project that also includes retail, health clinic in combination with fitness, a parking garage and 50 senior citizen apartments. The hotel consists of nearly 3,000 sqm, approx. 100 rooms, a lounge area and a breakfast restaurant. Zleep Hotels offers an affordable product, which emphasizes a room of high quality, a healthy and organic breakfast buffet as well as a comfortable lounge area. The hotel’s future guests will thus experience a completely different standard than they are used to in Hillerod.

“This is a really exciting project on the Marketplace, and we are very happy that we can increase our presence in Hillerod. It is a city that is growing and it is a very attractive place to live and stay. That is why we look forward to constructing a new hotel and offering several senior-friendly homes that will also give our many pension customers a strong return,” says Michael Bruhn, managing director of PFA Real Estate.

Central location in Hillerod
Hillerod is the ideal location for Zleep Hotels. Hillerod offers a great combination of cultural and natural experiences with attractions such as Frederiksborg Castle, a UNESCO heritage site, and Denmark’s second largest forest. As the business center of Northern Zealand, Hillerod also has a strong corporate environment that is growing due to, among other things, its strong infrastructure to Copenhagen and the rest of Northern Zealand. Zleep Hotels’ entrance to the market will add value to both tourists and business travelers alike as they will be given the opportunity of getting a great stayover at attractive rates.

“It is really exciting that PFA has chosen to build both senior apartments and a hotel in Hillerod. This emphasizes the great development we are going through as many exciting things are happening in the municipality. And with its central location in Hillerod, I’m very certain that the hotel and Hillerod will be receiving many new guests,” says mayor of Hillerod, Ms. Dorte Meldgaard.

Zleep Hotels is growing
The pension fund PFA’s investment in Zleep Hotel Hillerod is a strong recognition of the hotel industry being an attractive investment opportunity. The publication of the project in Hillerod is the third in Zleep Hotels’ pipeline for 2019 in which it is also planning to open in Aalborg and near Stockholm. Zleep Hotels has already proven that they can operate hotels in secondary markets where other operators are struggling. Hillerod will be strong addition to the chain of hotels as it continues to grow.

“We have been looking at the hotel market in Northern Zealand for a while now. This central location in one of the most important business and tourist cities north of Copenhagen is a great opportunity for Zleep Hotels. This location and hotel will strengthen our position in the vicinity of Greater Copenhagen. We look forward to starting the construction of the hotel and not in the least to opening the hotel to our and Hillerod’s guests. It is an amazing addition to our portfolio and further proves that the development in the industry is not just in Copenhagen,” says Peter Haaber, CEO at Zleep Hotels.
