OLM Nature Escape, the first energy self-sufficient eco aparthotel in the Alps

  • OLM Nature Escape

New Green Pearls member in South Tyrol.

The circular building of the OLM Nature Escape -a Green Pearls member- is more than just an architectural highlight. The “Casa Clima Nature” certified building also sets new standards in terms of sustainability. In addition to the use of regional larch wood as the main building material, the aparthotel produces all the energy for the supply of the apartments itself. As of December 2023, guests will find 33 luxurious eco ApartSuites – some with their own sauna and free-standing bathtub. Green PearlsⓇ is pleased to be a partner right from the start.

Nature recreation, wellness and outdoor activities in Sand in Taufers, South Tyrol

Sand in Taufers is a popular all year-round holiday destination in the Italian Alps. It’s suitable both for winter sports (snowshoe hiking, cross-country skiing and skiing in the Speikboden ski resort) and for hiking and cycling in the summer. The area is home to a number of water treasures, such as rivers, lakes, waterfalls, glaciers, and springs.

For those who want to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air and spring water among forests, mountains, and meadows, this is the perfect vacation destination. OLM means “alp” in South Tyrolean. The unique hideaway has been in planning since 2007. The owner, Christian Lechner, hails from the valley himself and is now fulfilling his vision of a sustainable accommodation.

Eco Apart Suites with Mini Spa

The Apart Suites in the distinctive circular building range in size from 2 to 6 persons. All of them have a fully equipped kitchen and some have a small private spa area with a private sauna. All guests have access to the indoor pool, outdoor pool, natural swimming pond, PRENN° restaurant, and a cozy lobby with a fireplace.

Maximum Freedom

Breakfast is included, but beyond that, guests are free to choose whether they want to cook for themselves or take advantage of the catering options offered by the house. 80 percent of the products used are organic and/or sourced from the surrounding area. The dinner concept has been developed in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Theodor Falser, so guests are able to enjoy the full culinary experience here as well. Cleaning services are available as well and can be booked in separate modules, just like the meals.

At OLM Nature Escape the guests are supposed to feel at one with themselves and at the same time understand themselves as part of the cycle of nature.
