Germany’s Dresden is ranked number one on the global reputation list. Dresden’s hotels have received the highest ratings and most positive reviews amongst guests. Interestingly, London is at the bottom of the list of 100 – hotels here have not been reviewed so favourably by guests.
The trivago Reputation Ranking classifies destinations according to the reputation of their hotels. The reputation percentage is calculated from hotel ratings and reviews aggregated from over 140 booking sites. Included in the list of 100 global destinations are metropolitan cities with at least 135 hotels and 60 reviews on trivago.

Capital cities have not fared so well – Brussels, Amsterdam, Paris and Copenhagen are all in the bottom ten.
The list of 20 UK destinations features destinations with at least 70 hotels and 48 reviews on trivago.
At the top of the list is Windermere in the Lake District, followed closely by Torquay in Devon and Inverness in Scotland. London, Brighton and Birmingham are at the bottom of the list of 20 UK destinations, showing that guests are less likely to rate metropolitan destinations favourably.
