LONDON/REYKJAVIK - Icelandair has announced its partnership with Cover Genius, the global insurtech leader whose insurance distribution platform provides protection for customers of the world’s largest online companies, to offer embedded “Covid Plus” Cover for their worldwide customers, launching in Europe and Americas and Canada following soon. The Icelandair “Covid Plus” Medical Cover will be available through integrating with XCover - Cover Genius’ award-winning global insurance distribution platform - and has been specially tailored for Icelandair global customers and ensures that travellers and their travel companions are covered if they get COVID-19 or another illness or injury while travelling, or if they need medical assistance while they are overseas.
Icelandair will thus become the first airline to offer all their customers COVID protection through Cover Genius that will give them peace of mind when booking knowing that they’re covered if they get COVID-19 prior to or during their trip.
Icelandair’s global customers will also benefit from the insurtech’s award-winning claims technology, that delivers industry high NPS of 65+ which simplifies the claims process and pays out claims instantly in 90+ currencies.
