MOSCOW – Aeroflot took delivery of A320 airplane. The jet was handed over to the airline at the Airbus manufacturing plant in Toulouse. The aircraft is named in honor of Vsevolod Meyerhold, Russian theatrical producer, director and actor. Now the Aeroflot fleet includes 89 A319/320/321 aircraft with the average airplane age of 5.1 years.

Presently, Aeroflot’s park counts 141 aircraft (including 3 cargo aircraft McDonnell Douglas MD-11). The airline operates 138 passenger aircraft, including 10 SSJ-100’s, 13 A319’s, 52 A320’s, 24 A321’s, 2 Boeing 737-800’s, 5 Boeing 767-300ER’s, 4 Boeing 777-300ER’s, 22 A330’s, and 6 IL-96’s. 137 of them were delivered brand new directly from the plants.
