Budapest Airport welcomes Wizz Air’s new routes

With the addition of frequency increases on a further 17 existing routes this year, the low-cost airline will deliver the equivalent of 15% more capacity to the Budapest market.

Celebrating the continued growth and route development of its home-based carrier, Budapest Airport recently welcomed three route launches from Wizz Air–Bologna, 5 June; Glasgow, 13 June; Alghero, 15 June; all twice-weekly services.

With the addition of frequency increases on a further 17 existing routes this year, the low-cost airline will deliver the equivalent of 15% more capacity to the Budapest market.

Commenting on the airline’s expansion at the airport, Kam Jandu, Chief Commercial Officer, Budapest Airport says: “Wizz Air’s choice of attractive destinations from Budapest continue to meet both leisure and business traveller’s needs. We expect the new services, and increased capacity on existing routes, to succeed and be a hit with our customers.”
