CONVENE offers dynamic professional education for meetings planners and suppliers

In addition to presentations and panel discussions featuring high-profile Meetings Industry figures from across Europe, CONVENE will also offer training sessions throughout the two days of the main expo.

With Vilnius preparing to welcome its largest ever delegation of Meetings Industry buyers on 11 February, CONVENE 2014 expo organisers have announced an extensive professional education programme for Lithuanians involved in planning of, and supply meetings, conferences and events.

The topics included in the programme will aid secretaries, office managers, and marketing professionals – among others – to maximise their organisation’s potential in the through a range of meetings, conferences and events.

In addition to presentations and panel discussions featuring high-profile Meetings Industry figures from across Europe, CONVENE will also offer training sessions throughout the two days of the main expo. Other sessions will include the ‘Meet the Experts’ series, allowing participants to discuss issues important to them face to face with knowledgeable experts.

The programme is just one part of CONVENE 2014, which this year boasts an increase in the number of Hosted Buyers interested in making deals with venues across the Baltic Sea Region. So far, 150 Hosted Buyers will book over 3,000 pre-scheduled appointments with suppliers from the region. This year, Belarus and Sweden will be represented at the event for the first time, with a 20% increase in exhibitors overall.

Registration for the education programme is open to any Lithuanian and those within the Baltic Sea region involved in requesting, planning, influencing, or managing meetings and events. It will also feature content of relevance to associations, foundations, societies, public bodies and the not for profit sector.

CONVENE 2014 education programme will begin on 11 February 2014, with the main exhibition running from 12 – 13 February 2014.
