Domodedovo summed up results of most punctual airlines contest in April 2013

The most punctual airlines contest was organized by Moscow Domodedovo Airport over 5 years ago. Since that time the number of Russian and foreign airlines-partners increased by more than one third.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport monthly sums up results of the most punctual airlines contests. The winners in eight different categories (depending on the flights frequency and the passenger traffic) in April are Transaero Airlines, Uamal Airlines, Saratov Airlines, Izhavia, Uzbekistan Airways, Air Berlin, Iberia, SCAT Airlines.

Transaero Airlines won in the first category and operated 1195 flights on-time flights. Uamal Airlines became the leader in the second category and operated 208 flights without delays. Saratov Airlines headed the third contest category and had 121 flights exactly according to schedule. Izhavia with 60 on-time flights won in the fourth category.

The most punctual foreign airlines are Uzbekistan Airways, (the fifth category, 141 flights), Air Berlin (the sixth category, 116 on-time flights), Iberia (the seventh category, 43 flights without delays) and SCAT Airlines (the eights category, 34 flights according to schedule).

The most punctual airlines contest was organized by Moscow Domodedovo Airport over 5 years ago. Since that time the number of Russian and foreign airlines-partners increased by more than one third. As of mid-May 2013 from Domodedovo 81 airlines operate flights to 237 domestic and international destinations, 78 destinations out of them are unique for the Moscow region.

On-time takeoff and landing operations is a key factor of efficient partnership between airlines and airport. It is not only a guarantee of air travelers satisfaction but also a significant competitive position of airline and airport. Strict adherence to schedule is a priority for any air carrier that’s why a win in the most punctual airlines contest held by Domodedovo is the essential result for airlines.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest one of Russia, in 2012 the airport served 28,2 million people. It joins the category of the largest airports in Europe on the classification of the Airports Council International (ACI) and on results of 2012 became one of three European airports with the highest dynamic development. Since 2009 it is ranked as the best airport in Eastern Europe by Skytrax. Domodedovo is chosen for flights by member airlines of two largest global airline alliances – Star Alliance and oneworld.
