Bit Buyworld: where the world does business with the world

At Bit 2010 the new workshop dedicated to an interchange of international Operators makes its debut. Circa 300 Operators from around the world will be participating, including Bit exhibitors, co-exhibitors, and overseas travel agents selected by Uftaa.

The tourism market? It’s becoming increasingly global. The trend is clear: according to OCSE data, International tourism interchanges are constantly increasing, and in the next decade they will reach a record turnover of 700 billion dollars per year at global level. Almost half of the GDP of Italy, as a term of comparison.

It’s in this scenario that the International Tourism exchange will be launching its first  cross-country operation in this sector. It’s called Bit Buyworld and it’s the new workshop dedicated to international operators. Based on the innovative and flexible concept of a mutual interchange between global tourism supply and demand, Bit Buyworld permits its participants to develop new business all over the world,  in respect of both the incoming and outgoing markets.

Bit Buyworld will be held on Friday 19 February 2010 as part of the 30th edition of Bit, on stage in the fieramilano area in Rho from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 February 2010, and it is organised in partnership with Uftaa – the United Federation of Travel Agents’ Associations. The first edition of Bit Buyworld will focus on Operators from the Far East: with the participation of operators from countries that are showing a high level of vitality, such as Cambodia, Lao and Vietnam in south East Asia, as well as advanced markets such as Japan, or those whose expansion is now a reality, like China and India.

Overall, there will be circa 300 International Operators present, of which 200 chosen among the overseas exhibitors and co-exhibitors, with exclusively international supply players, including tour operators, travel agents, hotels, congress centres, holiday residences and tourist boards, and 100 overseas travel agents.

Bit Buyworld is also an additional opportunity to do business for Italian tourism products,  which are now very much in demand among the South East Asian travel agents: at the same time pre-defined meetings of overseas operators at the stands of individual regions will be organised.

The Bit Buyworld event is completed with a full training and information programme, which will also cover current issues regarding tourism policies.

The 30th edition of Bit – the International Tourism Exchange hopes to see you at the fieramilano area in Rho from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 February 2010.
