On its 10th anniversary, Carlson Wagonlit Travel announces innovative new associate program

Carlson Wagonlit Travel, on the eve of its 10th Anniversary, announced that it is officially re-launching its Canadian Associate Program

Carlson Wagonlit Travel, on the eve of its 10th Anniversary, announced that it is officially re-launching its Canadian Associate Program including an attractive new pricing structure. CWT`s program offers a unique opportunity for good quality travel agencies to partner with CWT to grow their business. In partnering with CWT, an agency will immediately benefit from CWT`s financial leverage, advanced technologies and aggressive consumer marketing without sacrificing their entrepreneurial spirit.

The new program is designed to attract and convert high quality, forward-thinking travel agencies across Canada to support CWT`s continued success in winning new business. We are very fortunate to be experiencing some tremendous growth and are very interested in speaking with agencies who can deliver an exceptionally high level of service to our customers. I believe our program represents excellent value and could be a great opportunity for the right agency, said Michael Thompson, vice president, Marketing, for Carlson Wagonlit Travel Canada.

For a low, flat monthly fee a full service agency can now take advantage of CWT`s tools for leisure, meetings and corporate travel customers. As the only mega agency focused on all three lines of business, associate owners are better positioned to face a more challenging industry. These tools include a suite of technology products, a full training curriculum from the Carlson University, exceptional supplier relationships, a strong marketing program and a bilingual support team.

A key reason for the success of the new program comes from the fact that it was created with direct input from CWT`s current Associate customers. We truly value the feedback we receive from our owners, their consultation and input was critical to ensure the program we build meets their current and future needs. Their participation has reaffirmed my strong belief that the CWT Associate Program has embarked on the right course for the future, said Louise Gardiner, director, Associate Program Canada.

The move has paid immediate dividends for CWT resulting in all of their current Associate owners signing multi-year contract extensions as far out as 2010 and beyond. This vote of confidence provides CWT with a stable, unified distribution channel for the next several years allowing the company to focus on their primary objective of growth.
