EVA expands to Chicago, its 8th gateway in North America

New nonstop flights connect to one-stop service throughout Asia.

CHICAGO – EVA Air launched Chicago flights on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, expanding services in North America and adding greater flexibility and ease to itineraries by offering one-stop connections to major cities throughout Asia and 27 destinations in Mainland China. To start, the 5-Star Airline is operating four nonstop flights a week with its latest-model, Wi-Fi equipped Boeing 777-300ERs comfortably configured for 333 passengers in Royal Laurel business, Elite premium economy and Economy Classes. Chicago is EVA's eighth gateway in North America, joining Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver on the airline's trans-Pacific schedule. Travelers can book and buy tickets through travel agents, EVA ticket offices and online at evaair.com.

EVA Air launched Chicago service with four nonstop flights a week, using new Wi-Fi-equipped Boeing 777s and offering more than 100 one-stop itinerary possibilities in Asia.

"We have steadily developed, expanded and upgraded our global network and Chicago is an important link," said EVA President Derek Chen. "By introducing our new Chicago route and increasing service from other North America cities, EVA will be offering 80 flights a week to Asia by the end of this year. Our trans-Pacific flight frequency will outnumber that of every other airline in the North America market. From these flights, our passengers can take one-stop connections from Taipei on to 12 major cities in Southeast Asia and experience the comfortable, convenient advantages of travel with EVA."

The new Chicago flights create 132 itinerary possibilities with the airline's onward connections from Taipei, Taiwan. EVA flight BR55 leaves Chicago's O'Hare International Airport at 12:20 am on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and lands at Taipei's Taoyuan International Airport at 5:00 am the next day. North America-bound flight BR56 departs Taoyuan at 8:05 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and arrives in Chicago at 8:55 pm the same day.
