gategroup and easyJet to extend partnership by another five years

Driving ancillary revenue for the airlines, Gate Retail Onboard will continue to manage the current retail program with gategroup brands Supplair, eGate Solutions, Gate Gourmet, deSter and Gate Aviation Services all providing services to easyJet.

ZURICH – gategroup has been awarded an extension of business with long-time customer easyJet, one of Europe’s leading airlines.

gategroup has been selected as the successful bidder for an additional five year term to provide the complete end-to-end retail program and the provision of crew catering across easyJet’s entire network. An agreement has been entered that reflects this award and provides a framework to finalize terms and conditions of the successful bid award. The total value of this business to gategroup is anticipated to be in excess of CHF 800 million in revenues.

“We are proud to be a strategic partner for easyJet and look forward to continuing our long –  standing business relationship with this key customer well into the future,” said Caroline Ulbrich, President of Gate Retail Onboard, gategroup’s market leader in delivering onboard retail solutions globally.

Driving ancillary revenue for the airlines, Gate Retail Onboard will continue to manage the current retail program with gategroup brands Supplair, eGate Solutions, Gate Gourmet, deSter and Gate Aviation Services all providing services to easyJet. “The scope of this business validates gategroup’s strategy of maintaining a brand portfolio that provides end-to-end solutions to the travel industry and demonstrates the cross-selling power of its brands,” added Ulbrich.
