Greyhound Express expands service in southwest region

Express adds frequency and new routes with five new markets on its premium city-to-city service.

DALLAS – Just in time for July 4th holiday travel, Greyhound announced that Greyhound Express -the company’s premium direct service between major cities- will expand to five new markets, with five new routes starting June 27.

New Express locations will include, El Paso, Texas; Tucson, Ariz.; Phoenix; Albuquerque, N.M. and Reno, Nev., expanding the company’s Express network to more than 930 direct-service intercity pairs available in more than 120 markets in North America. Customers can now travel from El Paso to Los Angeles, Dallas and Albuquerque and from Sacramento to Reno, including stops in Oakland and San Francisco.

Following are the new Greyhound Express routes, beginning June 27:

  • El Paso – Tucson – Phoenix – Los Angeles, with three daily round trips
  • El Paso – Abilene – Fort Worth – Dallas, with two daily round trips
  • El Paso – Albuquerque, with three daily round trips
  • Sacramento – Oakland – San Francisco, with seven daily round trips
  • Sacramento – Reno, with three daily round trips.

“We’re excited to expand Greyhound Express in the Southwest region, which now gives customers connecting Express service from coast to coast,” said Dave Leach, president and CEO, Greyhound. “This expansion allows us to continue to meet the growing demand for our popular Express service and offer customers additional travel options while providing a safe, comfortable and affordable experience.”

Greyhound Express operates modern, environmentally friendly buses equipped with features such as free Wi-Fi, power outlets, leather seats, extra legroom, guaranteed seating, wheelchair lifts and on-board restrooms. Customers can buy their Express ticket online to take advantage of discount pricing, use the book on-line/pay with cash service, print their ticket at home or pick it up at a self-service ticketing kiosk. Additionally, Express customers can relax in private waiting areas, protected from the elements in a secure environment, with a dedicated guest services specialist to provide an extra level of customer assistance.

Greyhound Express provides non-stop service between major cities, originating from Greyhound service hubs including New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas and Calgary. For those who need long-distance connections, stations along Greyhound Express routes allow travelers to easily connect to an established network of more than 3,800 Greyhound destinations throughout North America.
