HONOLULU – Hawaii gets more visitors during Christmas and New Year’s than it does any other time of the year, and hotel rates reach record heights as a result. A new survey from CheapHotels.org has compared the lodging costs for the most popular Hawaiian destinations.

Specifically, the survey has established the rate for the cheapest available double room for 16 destinations in the Aloha State. The period spanning December 23 through December 28 served as the comparative timeframe. Only such hotels rated at least three stars and located close to the beach have been considered by the survey.
