Celebrity Cruises received celebrity treatment in New York, where Conde Nast Traveler presented results of its coveted annual Readers Choice Awards to an elite group of finalists. Celebrity Cruises was honored as the world`s top-rated premium line in the magazine`s Top 25 Cruise Lines: Large Ship Lines poll (November edition). Celebrity ranked third overall, sharing the spotlight with luxury lines Crystal Cruises and Radisson Seven Seas.

Conde Nast Traveler`s annual poll asks subscribers to evaluate cruise lines on a combination of itineraries, crew/service, cabins/design, food/dining, activities/excursions and entertainment/events. Nearly 32,000 readers were surveyed, with Celebrity Cruises receiving a rating of 85.3 out of 100. Celebrity has continuously improved its standing every year since 2001 (76.7). We view these awards as the industry`s Olympics; to be one of the three finalists invited to the ceremony is a tremendous honor in itself, said Celebrity`s Senior Vice President of Fleet Operations Dietmar Wertanzl. This is wonderful reinforcement that a growing number of vacationers appreciate the `new luxury` that Celebrity provides.
