The collection of food and beverage outlets join the recently opened ROOST Detroit and Anthology Events at Book Tower, as part of downtown Detroit’s premier venue to live, work, meet, celebrate, dine and stay.

DETROIT, MI – Book Tower is set to welcome a series of new food and beverage concepts to the growing dining scene in downtown Detroit. Located within the historic landmark, the new-to-market and culinary-diverse offerings will be operated by Method Co., in partnership with Bedrock, and complement the recent openings of ROOST Detroit, The Residences at Book Tower and Anthology Events. The additions will further transform the Washington Boulevard Historic District with unparalleled accommodations and dining for locals and visitors in the coming months.

Opening summer 2023, Le Suprême and Bar Rotunda bring the taste and style of early twentieth-century Paris back to Detroit.

  • Le Suprême, will offer all-day French fare in the brasserie’s elegant dining room, alfresco, in the restaurant’s bar or within its 24-seat private dining room. Enter off Washington Boulevard or through The Rotunda to indulge in a menu comprised of Parisian specialties as well as fresh pastries, breads and desserts from the adjoining patisserie and boulangerie. Le Suprême’s full-service bar will also offer a curated cocktail program and a selection of over 300 world-class wines and champagne.
  • Bar Rotunda, will serve as an all-day cafe and wine bar, with coffees, pastries, small plates, wine and cocktails offered at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Canopied by The Rotunda, Book Tower’s marble arched atrium and 100-year-old Kamper-glass skylight, the design and service are inspired by the grand cafés and venerable hotel bars of early twentieth-century Paris.

“Dating back to the 18th century, Detroit’s rich French history and its unparalleled contributions to the American manufacturing and music industries were attributes that we wanted to celebrate with the conception of Le Supreme and Bar Rotunda. The revitalization efforts that have gone into Detroit’s downtown core are remarkable, resulting in a renaissance that we are excited to be a part of,” said Randall Cook, CEO and Co-Founder of Method Co. “Our goal is that Le Supreme, Bar Rotunda, and our subsequent openings within Book Tower will offer guests a new opportunity to discover the beauty and spirit of this legendary city.”

In the fall of 2023, there will be even more options to explore the culinary diversity within Book Tower including:

  • Hiroki-San with izakaya and omakase style dining on the lower level
  • Sakazuki, a casual sake and sando pub with exclusive menu of Japanese libations on the ground level
  • Kamper’s, a 14th-floor rooftop bar with sweeping views of downtown Detroit. The indoor/outdoor cocktail lounge pays homage to its namesake and Book Tower’s original architect, Louis Kamper.

Le Suprême, Hiroki-San and Sakazuki were collaboratively designed by Method Studios, Method Co.’s in-house design firm, and Philadelphia based Stokes Architecture + Design, while Kamper’s and Bar Rotunda were designed in partnership between ODA Architecture and Method Studios.

“Book Tower’s nearly $400 million historic restoration has already dazzled enthusiasts from around the globe and now, guests will be able to experience a selection of thoughtfully designed dining and culinary options” said Andrew Leber, VP of Hospitality. “The new venues, which highlight the building’s historic restoration while introducing a new and exciting flare to the property, also underscores downtown Detroit as a destination for dining and world-class hospitality.”

As part of Book Tower’s recently announced Anthology Events, all food and beverage outlets, including the skylit Conservatory Ballroom, may be reserved for private events.

Hours of operation, menus and official opening dates will be announced soon. Method Co. is currently hiring for all positions at Book Tower’s food & beverage concepts.
