“Text Germany” online campaign

As part of their 2009 marketing campaigns, the German National Tourist Office (GNTO) in London is offering consumers an additional way to respond to advertising – with the aid of their mobile phone.

Upon texting "Germany" callers will receive a quick overview of what is on offer for campaigns on different themes such as “20 years fall of the Wall” or “Active Holidays”. Users will then be given information on the GNTO website, are invited to email a request for brochures or sign up for the GNTO newsletter. Alternatively, they may just wish to download free wallpaper depicting scenes from German cities and landscapes.

The new text number 60707 will be integrated in all relevant GNTO campaigns this year.
