Global aerospace industry trade and end-user magazines Aviation International News (AIN), and Business Jet Traveler (BJT), have been appointed official publications for the inaugural Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) conference, which will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates this November to coincide with Dubai 2005, the ninth international aerospace exhibition.

AIN`s monthly readership which reaches 36,000 aviation professionals and 4,000 industry executives across 172 countries each month is a key target audience for us, and will help deliver involvement from some of the biggest names in the business jet industry, said Clive Richardson, Chief Executive, Aviation Division, Fairs & Exhibitions (F&E), organiser of MEBA and the Dubai air show. AIN`s sister publication, Business Jet Traveler reaches 26,000 ‘end-users’ including, Chief Executive Officers of all of the major corporations operating business jets and high-net-worth individuals. It and will also add tremendous value and in fact dove-tails perfectly with the audience of our conference.

MEBA, which is to be hosted by Royal Jet, the Abu Dhabi – headquartered international luxury VIP aircraft charter company, will be held at Le Meridien Dubai on November 19th this year, a day prior to the opening of Dubai 2005.

The Middle East is one of the key growth markets for business aviation, and the sector continues to see increased demand for executive transportation in addition to the established need for royal and government services. We believe this conference will be a powerful forum to probe the regions` existing and future needs, as well as being a catalyst for future growth and demand, said Wilson Leach, Managing Director of AIN and BJT.

We plan on previewing the conference in our AIN monthly editions which will carry a special report on business aviation in the Middle East. Of course we will have strong emphasis on business aviation in our daily issues published at the Dubai air show, as well as full coverage of Dubai and the conference in AIN`s December monthly issue. We also intend to give the conference extensive online coverage via our AINonline website, currently averaging more than 317,000 unique visitors a month; and our AINalerts with 26,000 registered subscribers, added Leach.

MEBA, which has been jointly pioneered by F&E and Royal Jet, is targeting both companies and individuals involved in chartering, leasing, selling, purchasing and operation of business jets for private or corporate use.

Issues to be addressed will be fine-tuned to the needs of the Middle East and will include the benefits of chartering, fractional ownership, the leasing and purchasing of aircraft as well as total aviation solutions, said Ammar Balkar, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Royal Jet. We will be working with F&E to ensure that delegates include some of the VVIP users of luxury and executive aviation from across the region.
